What is a zine?
A “Zine” (short for magazine) is usually a collection of works by an individual, or sometimes a group, formatted into a short booklet. In our case, it essentially means a collection of fan-made artwork featuring Dreamcatcher created by insomnias, compiled into a booklet and/or digital PDF.
Will the zine be digital or physical?
We are now moving forward with a digital zine!
Will writing or fanfiction be featured?
Neither fanfiction nor other forms of writing are currently in our plans (we have 2 mods and neither of them are cut out to be a writing mod) but if a lot of people want writers included then we’ll consider it (and try to find a writing mod)! However, if writing/fanfiction does end up in the zine, we will not be featuring slash/shipping content.
Are there any content guidelines?
We are aiming for the zine to be mostly PG. Due to the themes in Dreamcatcher’s music, we will be allowing a mild amount of horror and gore, but nothing too extreme (we are not an 18+ zine). We also ask for no nudity, sexual themes or shipping for this zine!
Can anyone apply?
Our only requirement is that artists are at least 16 years old! It’s also preferable that applicants have discord as its the platform we’ll be using for check-ins, questions, etc. during the design process. We would honestly like to have as many artists as possible joining us, the only reason for the 30 page artist goal is to have a reasonable project scope for the mod team.
Where does the money go?
This will be a charity fanzine, so after deducting production costs, all the remaining money will go to charity. The specific charity will be decided upon at a later date. If you have a charity suggestion please submit it in the interest check form!
Will contributors be compensated?
Yes! All contributors will receive a full digital bundle on the day of release.
Who are the mods?

Zine host
Social media mod
Finance mod
Co-Art mod
Admittedly this is my first time hosting a zine, however I have experience in printing my own work into art books , making physical merchandise, and have participated in zines before so I’m fairly confident I can run one! :] Plus I’ve always wanted to participate in a Dreamcatcher zine so I’m committed to this project!
